Antonia Jurkovic, Psy.D.

Pronouns: she, her, hers

I welcome clients who are exploring and integrating various parts of themselves including their sexuality, gender, kink, age, race, religion/spirituality, and/or relational configuration (i.e., monogamy, consensual non-monogamy, open relationship, polyamory, etc.).  I offer an empathic and non-judgmental space to clients of diverse identities who may be experiencing trauma, loss, discrimination, stigma, marginalization, issues with identity, and relational difficulties.

I believe that the most important part of successful therapy is collaboratively building a space that allows you to bring forward parts of yourself that you may have avoided, hidden, or lost in order to survive. While therapy can sometimes be difficult or uncomfortable, I can help you weather the storm as you gain insight into your own patterns and change that which no longer serves you. I use a combination of compassion, humor, warmth, and curiosity to gently hold and, sometimes, challenge you.

None of this can be accomplished without taking into account the socio-cultural context that we belong in. Understanding how your various identities intersect and interplays with the systems around you and identifying the barriers you may face has been an integral part of my approach to therapy. Over and over again, I have been inspired by the resiliency my clients show and am honored to have been a part of their stories, just as I hope to become a part of yours.
