About Kate Koester, MA, LCPC

Kate Koester joined the LifeWorks Psychotherapy team in January 2013. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor with an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling. She works from a Jungian approach and is particularly interested in how the unconscious guides individuals towards inner wholeness and authenticity. Her passion is for working with those who are experiencing loneliness, rejection and isolation, and being by their side as they grow into a fuller relationship with themselves and their community. As a mother of two children some of her most important work has also been with parents struggling to find balance and joy within difficult family dynamics. Kate is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling and Kink & Poly Aware Chicago Therapists (KPACT).
