You are invited to join us to explore matters of identity, relationships, aging, and more — in support of empowering connection, community, and resiliency for older trans and GNC folx. The group is intended to bring together people whose gender experiences converge with experiences of aging and age-related transitions. Support groups provide community interaction, dialogue and interpersonal support.
This monthly drop-in support group, is facilitated by LifeWorks’ Christy Darcangelo, gerontologist and
licensed clinical social worker. If this group sounds like a good fit for you, please register below!
Suggested Fees: The suggested fee is $20 per person, sliding scale available. Please do not let the suggested fee be a barrier to your participation. Payment is non-refundable.

About our Facilitator
Christy LK Darcangelo, MA, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker and gerontologist. Christy received her master’s degree of gerontology from Concordia University Chicago and master’s degree of social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Christy’s graduate training included community service assessments with older adults at Good Samaritan Hospital, client support with folk living with co-occurring substance use and psychiatric diagnoses at Thresholds, and co-facilitating a weekly process group with LGBTQIA+ older adults at Howard Brown Health. Christy also completed post-graduate training in LifeWorks Psychotherapy Center’s Green House fellowship program where she sharpened and deepened a depth-oriented practice with clients identifying with minoritized sexual identities.
