Safety and Care in Polyamorous Relationships

October 4, 2019 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Do you feel safe and cared for in your polyam relationship(s)? Do you make your partner(s) feel safe and cared for? Polyamory creates all sorts of unique challenges when it comes to safety and care. The list can be long, but here is a short list of those challenges:

  • How do you manage scheduling time for multiple partners?
  • How are you cared for if you’re a “secondary” partner who doesn’t have a “primary”?
  • Whose responsibility is safety and care in poly relationships and what does this mean to you?
  • Are you making time for self-care?

Please come to this month’s meeting with questions, ideas, your experiences and wisdom about this topic. Rami and Cindy will not be present this month. Ariel Gaines and Joey Allaire from LifeWorks Psychotherapy and Eric Levy, a long-time participant of the support group will be facilitating.

Fee: Recognizing our time and the cost of use of the space, a fee of $10 per person is requested. We know that this may be difficult for some. We encourage each of you to contribute what feels fair. Please do not let money be an obstacle to your participation. Feel free to speak with us if you have questions or concerns.

Want to Pay Online? We have a new online payment option available for those who prefer it over cash at the time of the group. Please click here to pay online..

Please RSVP at the Chicago Polyamory Meetup site. We look forward to sharing ourselves, our issues, concerns, joys, successes etc. together in a meaningful way. Hope that you will join us.
