We are very happy to introduce Jess Twitchell, MSW who also holds a Professional Educator’s License (PEL). Jess joined the Green House Fellowship program in January of this year. We talked to Jess about her decision to join the Green House and what it means for her.

How did you learn about the Green House?

My own therapist did the program and told me about it.

What drew you to the Green House?

I am a school social worker and was curious about being a therapist. I am constantly amazed at how amazing my therapist is and I wanted to learn to do what she does and I so appreciate.

What are you hoping to gain by being in the Green House and how do you imagine it will impact your future?

I am hoping to gain the skills and insight needed to be a helpful therapist especially for the marginalized communities LifeWorks attracts.

In the short amount of time, since you joined the Green House, what has surprised you most and why?

That there are a lot of small details involved and that we will get to be involved with and know the Lifeworks staff.

Anything else professionally that you are particularly looking forward to this year?

Transitioning careers, leaving school social work and entering therapy full time.
