We are pleased to introduce Magali Quiroz, LCSW, who recently joined LifeWorks as a staff therapist.
How did you first learn about LifeWorks?
I first learned about LifeWorks through my group supervisor in my first year of graduate school. She did not share much other than she thought it was the place for me and to keep LifeWorks in mind when I graduated.
What drew you to LifeWorks?
What drew me to LifeWorks are the populations LifeWorks proudly serves as well as the
additional opportunities to learn and expand therapeutic skills.
What are you hoping to gain at LifeWorks and how do you imagine it will impact your future?
I am hoping to gain more confidence in being the therapist I want to become so that I can show up as my most authentic self for my clients and colleagues. I believe that this will help me navigate challenges in the future to ease some of my professional uncertainties.
In the short amount of time, since you joined the LifeWorks, what has surprised you most and why?
To be honest, I am very surprised by the amount of kindness and support I have already received from the team at LifeWorks given my past experiences in graduate school. I definitely feel that my vulnerability is valued and celebrated at LifeWorks.
Anything else professionally that you are particularly looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to working with Spanish speaking couples this year.
