Alexandra Denis, MSW

Pronouns: she, her, hers

I am an affirming, sex-positive and trauma-informed therapist and support people with diverse gender identities, erotic orientations, and relationship configurations.

I have experience working with young people and adults presenting with a range of concerns including sexual harm, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and chaotic substance use; as well as those struggling with life transitions and relationships. I work to deeply understand each client’s feelings and unique situations. Everyone deserves to feel wholly seen and heard.

Therapy is a collaborative process. But I believe you are the expert of your own life, and you already have the tools within you to thrive. I am here as a guide, someone to be with you in your healing journey whatever the pace may be. I hope to build a safe and open relationship with you where we can explore various struggles and difficulties that may feel tender and where you can move towards happiness and healing.

One way through pain and suffering is storytelling. My hope is that therapy gives you the chance to express your truth and write the narrative you want for your life. It is a great privilege to hold your story and discover new possibilities together.

It is with your permission that we take this journey and I look forward to your call.
