I am a queer-identified, Kink/ Non-Monogamy affirming therapist who partners with individuals to navigate a world that is often rooted in arbitrary and limiting rules. I am passionate about the self-actualization of folks in their sexuality, gender and neurodiversity. I believe that everyone, especially people who have experienced oppression and marginalization, deserve a space to reflect creatively on what makes their lives sustainable and authentic.
My background is in Trauma Therapy, and my style pulls from embodiment and existentialism. I believe that our bodies react in ways that can provide insight into our inner experiences.
The inner self can become fragmented throughout a lifetime as we begin experiencing grief and trauma. While it can be daunting to delve into the unknown parts of ourselves, I aim to cultivate a warm and tender environment that can make this exploration more accessible and allow space for weaving incongruent experiences harmoniously.

Mickala Randby, LCSW has a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Jane Addams School of Social Work, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Western Washington University. Prior to Lifeworks, Mickala provided trauma-informed therapy to survivors of sexual assault, folks residing in public housing, as well as seniors and caregivers. They also provided housing case management to individuals who had experienced chronic homelessness living with HIV.
