I work with people who want to experience more peace and joy inside themselves, in their relationships, and in life in general.

I work with people who find themselves in crisis, in a troubled predicament, or at a crossroads; people who find themselves in situations that force them to ask, “How did I get here?” Undoubtedly, there are many answers to this question. I therapy, I can walk alongside you as we figure out how you “got” here.

Most of us know that even low levels of chronic anxiety and depression can erode our ability to experience peace and joy. It is easy to forget that all of us need support to open the channels that let peace and joy flow into our daily routine. This support can come through psychotherapy and the right therapist.

In psychotherapy, this support may look like:

  • the continued development of your already-extisting awareness skills,
  • the cultivation of  self-compassion, or
  • a deep exploration into your family’s history and patterns.

In psychotherapy, I will ask you to expand your idea of yourself and your circumstances – which I believe is subtly but meaningfully different from forcing change on yourself or your circumstances.

My work is guided by the Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam, or, “repair of the world”. Seeing ourselves as mini-worlds, we can gently and intentionally expand, repair, and heal ourselves. After doing this important internal work, we can turn to another and support them in their process of expansion, repair, and healing.

Skillful, compassionate psychotherapy enables us to notice, give attention, and slow down when our culture wants us to ignore, distract, and speed up. I look forward to hearing from you and learning about how we can work together towards wholeness, healing, and, most of all, the answers to your unique “How did I get here?”
