So, what does sex have to do with polyamory? Everything? Nothing? Seems that the first thing folk think of when you tell them you’re polyamorous is lots of sex! Promiscuity! Libido gone wild. But is sex really THE focus of polyamorous relationships?
After 15 years of facilitating this group, being therapists to many in the polyamorous community, and living a polyamorous life for 40 years, we know that there are as many ways to be polyamorous as there are folks who live it. And for some, the idea of sexual liberty is of primary importance, while for others, sex is of no importance. And then there’s everyone else along a long and wide spectrum of sexual interest. So, what does sex have to do with your polyam relationship dream? And your polyamory reality?
