Taking Meaningful Steps Towards Growth
At Lifeworks, we want to help you develop your inner and outer relationships to give you the tools you need to create growth and possibility in your life through psychotherapy and counseling.
People we serve include those with anxiety, depression and trauma, as well as children, adolescents and families. Our services also address kink, BDSM, fetish & vanilla, LGBTQIA individuals, couples and families, polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, religious and spiritual minorities, as well as trans, genderqueer and other-gendered individuals.
As an explicitly inclusive practice, we strive to embrace diversity in all it’s forms. We welcome clients of all ages, ethnicities, races, spiritual practices and religious traditions, gender and sexual orientations, and erotic expressions and practices.
An Understanding Approach
We know that life struggles and conflicts are meaningful, purposeful keys to healing and that experience, not knowledge, heals and brings relief. We understand that compassion, toward ourselves and others, brings us closer to our true nature and whole, undivided self.
With this knowledge, our clinicians offer a variety of approaches to apply when appropriate.

Would group therapy be a better fit for me?
Therapy groups are a way to learn about yourself through your relationships to other group members. Sometimes your individual therapist will recommend joining a therapy group to practice and integrate the new learning you are gaining in your individual therapy.
Therapy groups are an effective way to:
- experiment with behaving and communicating in new ways
- get feedback from others about how you impact them and are perceived
- work through recurring relationship conflicts that you may have
- learn new relationship and communication skills
- increase your empathy for others
- increase your capacity to speak for yourself in groups
